Cascella Says He Still Hasn't

Decided About Running Again

First Selectman Bob Cascella has not yet made up his mind on whether or not he

will run for a third term, but a decision and subsequent announcement could

come sometime this spring.

"If I knew what I was going to do right now, I'd announce it. I just don't

know at this point," the first selectman said Monday.

Mr Cascella said he plans to take a week off later this month to "lay low,"

"get some sleep," and make up his mind about his political future.

Mr Cascella said he needs to come to a decision soon, in fairness to the

Republican Town Committee.

"I do believe the Republican Town Committee would support this administration

for another term," he said.

Mr Cascella was elected to office for the first time in 1993 and was reelected

in 1995.
