ON THE ROAD FOR AUGUST 15, 1997

TESTAMENT, which is coming to Danbury in a couple of weeks, is touring to

support its latest album, Demonic . The album was released about six weeks

ago, on the Mayhem/Fierce Records label. According to the band's label, "the

new album will shatter your sonic imagination." Uhhh, yeah. Whatever.

The San Francisco band will be at Tuxedo Junction Sunday, August 24. Stuck

Mojo and Strapping Young Lads are touring with the band as openers.

A reminder that the guys from Newtown that won the Radio 104 Modern Rock Wars

a few months back, MIND TYDES, have two shows in the area this week. Playing

now to support an album called Against The Tide , Mind Tydes plays at The

Webster Theatre in Hartford on Friday night (Aug 15), and then at Tuxedo

Junction in Danbury next Thursday (Aug 21).

As the saying goes, "The Mac Is Back." FLEETWOOD MAC, that is, who will be at

The Meadows in Hartford on Wednesday, September 17. Tickets go on sale for the

reunion tour this Saturday morning (Aug 16) at 10 am through Pro-Tix outlets,

or at the Meadows box office if you're in the area.

The classic lineup of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey

Buckingham and Stevie Nicks has gotten back together, just in time to

celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of Fleetwood Mac. In May, the

lineup recorded its new album, The Dance . The tour currently comprises 26

dates, but there may be a few more added on.

And speaking of The Meadows, the biggest concert of last weekend was certainly

the return of AEROSMITH to Connecticut . Young player Johnny Lang, who opened

for B.B. King the last time he was in town, opened for Steve Tyler and the

rest of the guys, and started a show that I am told was no less than great.

Steve Tyler is seen here.

Until next week, I'll be seeing you... on the road.
