Ann Page Freeman, 94, of Ashland, Mass., passed away peacefully on August 6, 2022, after a brief illness. Growing up in Scituate, Mass., she graduated from Sargent College in Boston with a degree in physical education.

Sports were a big passion in her life — starting with sailing and swimming, then golf and tennis — and she excelled in them all. Ann married her loving husband, Franklin “Fritz” Freeman, from Marshfield Mass. He also loved sports, especially baseball’s Red Sox. Ann was a loving, outgoing mom and devoted wife with a strong spiritual faith.

Ann and Fritz raised four children in Newtown, Conn.: Sara Fontaine, Gail Elias, Betsy Bennett, and Woody Freeman. They had seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ann had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Newtown and beyond. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
