State Representative Mitch Bolinsky, 106th District, has provided the following information:

“Next week, the Legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee will hold a virtual Informational Forum on Tropical Storm Isaias Response and Electric Utility Rate Increases with invited speakers on Thursday, August 27, at 10:30 am via Zoom. This is in addition to the Monday, August 24, PURA regulatory hearing to investigate rate increases.

Interested residents will be able to access the livestream of the virtual Informational Forum by visiting www.CT-N.com.

The Energy Committee is requesting that testimony be limited to matters related to Tropical Storm Isaias Utility Response and the July 2020 Electric Utility Rate Increases.

In advance of the Informational Forum, I am encouraging residents to share and submit their written testimony and personal stories to the Energy Committee on Eversource’s horrific response to the storm and how any proposed electric rate hike is fully unwarranted.

You can e-mail written testimony in Word or PDF format to ETtestimony@cga.ct.gov or it can be mailed to the Energy and Technology Committee Legislative Office Building, Room 3900, Hartford, CT 06106 in the event e-mail submission is unavailable.

Please copy Mitch.Bolinsky@housegop.ct.gov on your e-mailed testimony.

Rep Mitch Bolinsky is requesting residents supply written testimony regarding the Tropical Storm Isaias response and utility rate increases for an August 27 Energy and Technology Informational Forum, and copy him on the testimony.
