Everyone in Newtown is excited for the Monday, September 2, Labor Day Parade. As tradition has it, chairs and other seating equipment arrive early on the scene. The wise know that by midmorning on Monday the spaces closest to the parade route will be packed with people, and comfortable seating will be at a premium.

On Friday afternoon, a solo chair was set up on the west side of Main Street, the first to make an appearance in anticipation of the 2019 Labor Day Parade.
