To the Editor:

Ninety percent of our nation, and practically all medical and other scientists in our nation, believe everyone should be required to wear masks when in public.

Yet Republican leaders in Washington let our unscientific president continue to disregard the advice of medical scientists that would stop the spread of the disease, and cause an untold amount of our citizens catching it and dying.

This madness cannot continue! Madness may seem like a strong word — but what is a better word, and how else will history describe it?

We cannot wait until Inauguration Day to start to stop coronavirus, or wait for our scientifically mentally ill president be cured.

We as Americans are also responsible for doing nothing — a march on the Washington Republican leaders now could be the answer.
