Will Be Open Sept. 12

SEYMOUR — The Seymour Historical Society Museum will be open on Sunday, September 12, from 1 to 4 pm.

Many items of interest are on display pertaining to the history of Seymour, such as pharmaceutical supplies from the Foley Drug Store, tools from the James Swan Company, military uniforms and artifacts dating back to the Civil War, a room devoted entirely to the men and women from Seymour who served in World War II, Vietnam and Korea, and many items from the Seymour Trust Company.

Political buttons on the local, state and federal levels, as well as advertisement from local merchants, are also on display.

The museum is at 59 West Street. Admission is free, however, donations are welcome. For information – including details on future open days – call 203-888-0037 or 888-7471.
