In Our Time

The Waterbury Chorale is planning a concert which will take place on Saturday, September 11, as a tribute to the events of 9/11. The Chorale’s spring performance of Karl Jenkins’s The Armed Man was such a well received success that the group has decided to offer a repeat performance in Newtown at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Soloists of the concert’s lead work will include Lynn Nagel of Meriden, Frank Von Oy of Newtown, Ron M’Sadoques of Waterbury, and Janet Orsatti-Duffany of Thomaston.

The concert, which is being called “A Mass for Peace in Our Time,” will also include Hymn to the Fallen by John Williams and Ubi Caritas by Paul Halley.

The chorale will be under the direction of Joseph Jacovino, Jr. Accompanist Susan Theodos will also be featured as an individual performer.

“A Mass For Peace in Our Time” will begin at 8 pm on Saturday, September 11. Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance, $25 at the door, and are available at Drug Center Pharmacy and any chorale member.
