Police said they stopped motorist Sabrina Wilson, 55, of Danbury near the intersection of South Main Street and Elm Drive for a motor vehicle violation about 6:40 pm August 31.

Three Vehicles

A three-vehicle accident occurred on South Main Street, near its southern intersection with Elm Drive, about 5 pm August 31.

Motorist Charlotte Thompson, 50, of 96 Huntingtown Road, who was driving a 2010 Buick sedan southward on South Main Street, stopped suddenly for traffic conditions, police said.

Southbound motorist Nancy Cullen, 55, of 10 Orchard Hill Road, who was driving a 2006 Saturn sedan, then slowed her vehicle, which was behind the Buick, police said.

Southbound motorist Robert Salerno, 65, of Monroe, who was driving a 2002 Dodge SUV, then struck the rear end of the Saturn, pushing the Saturn into the rear end of the Buick, police said.

There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Salerno for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
