Nancy Arlene Maring

Longtime Easton Resident

Nancy Arlene Maring, 82, died August 23, at Summerhill Assisted Living in Peterborough, N.H. She was born August 9, 1928, in Bridgeport, the daughter of Anna (O’Connor) and Nelson Porter.

 Her husband, Carleton Maring, predeceased Mrs Maring. She is survived by four, loving daughters, including Charlene Maring of Newtown; and her six grandchildren.

She moved to New Hampshire three years ago from Trumbull, but lived most of her life in Easton.

Mrs Maring worked for many years as a teaching assistant at the Samuel Staples Elementary School in Easton. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling on the Senior Center excursions. She was a member of the Easton Garden Club, the Homemakers Club, and the Senior Center of Easton. She was a member of the Notre Dame of Easton Church.

A Celebration of Life Mass will take place Friday, September 10, at 10:30 am, at the Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Road, in Easton. A gathering for family and friends will follow.

The Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, N.H., assisted with the arrangements.
