 Free Seminar  On Long-Term Care

FAIRFIELD — The Jewish Home for the Elderly of Fairfield County is offering an evening seminar on Wednesday, September 20, from 7 to 8:45 pm, in the Recreation Center. The program is entitled “Long Term Care: How Do You Pay For It.”

Presenter Linda Eliovson, an elder law attorney, will address such issues as Medicare and Medicaid, what they provide, and how one becomes eligible for coverage. Rachel B. Faiga, a long-term care insurance specialist, will speak about what long term care insurance covers and who should consider buying coverage. Joan Blumenfeld, a geriatric care manager and facilitator of the home’s caregiver workshops, a support group for families, will be the moderator and assist with a question and answer period following the presentations.

This program is provided as a public service and is open to all those interested in learning more about Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term insurance.

For registration and further details, contact Karen Julian, Social Services Department, at 203/365-6483.
