Pop Warner Opens With Scrimmages

The Newtown Pop Warner football program opened the 2003 campaign with pre-season scrimmages last weekend. The Juniors Midgets blanked New Milford, 8-0, while the Midgets dropped a 12-6 decision to New Milford.

The regular season opens this weekend.

For the Midgets, Tyler Tarantino tossed a touchdown pass to Conor Martin on a halfback option for the only score of the day.
