Apple Festival, September 8–9

MONROE — St Peter’s Episcopal Church will host its annual Apple Festival on the Historic Monroe Green, Route 111, on Saturday, September 8, from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, September 9, 10 am to 4 pm.

A great way to celebrate the start of the fall season, the annual event offers an extensive array of crafts from local and out of state artisans; many apple treats, including pies, tarts, jams, cookies, caramel and candy apples and more; Apple Central, with fresh apples, cider, and other apple-related treats.

An extensive snack bar will offer hot and cold beverages and freshly prepared food and snacks, including homemade apple crisp a la mode. Mums for sale in a variety of colors will continue the church’s proud support of locally grown products.

Children can enjoy games, face painting, and moon bounces. For adults, there is a chance to win a handmade quilt, a weekend getaway to a home on Cape Cod, or a Best Buy gift card through the purchase of raffle tickets.
