“Police Arrest Newtown Man For Vandalizing NHS Field,” by Jim Taylor, published August 29. Newtown Police reported that on August 24, Ian Wilson, 23, of Newtown, turned himself in to Newtown Police in connection with a recent vandalism at Newtown High School. “Labor Day Parade A Go For Monday Morning,” by Shannon Hicks, published September 2. Ahead of Monday, September 5, when the 2022 Labor Day Parade was held, judges had received their instructions, 85 groups had registered to be part of the line of march, and some spectators planned to drop off their place-holding chairs on Sunday afternoon along Main Street, Glover Avenue, and the northern section of Main Street.
