Occupation: I am a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway in Newtown and I also have an independent LuLaRoe boutique in our home. I’ve been selling clothes for five years and houses for about two-and-a-half years. I love working with people in our community and making my own hours!

Family: My husband, Ryan, and I have been together for 16 years and married for 12 this month. We have an 8-year-old son named Dylan and a 5-year-old daughter named Maya.

Pets: We have a year-old Lab/Great Pyrenees puppy. He’s 75 pounds and keeps us on our toes! We recently got him into a training program so that we can get him listening better.

How long have you lived in Newtown? My parents moved to Newtown in 1991 when I was in second grade. I graduated from Newtown High School in 2001 and then moved away for years (although my parents have been here the whole time). My husband and I bought our house here in 2019, because we think it’s the perfect place to raise our family.

What do you like to do in your free time? I try to spend as much time as I can hanging out with my family. We love hiking, playing music together, dance parties, movie nights, and going on adventures.

What is your favorite travel destination? Block Island has been a big favorite in the past couple of years. It’s the perfect place to go with kids, because it’s easy to get to and you really feel like you are on a remote island. It’s so nice to just spend time together and relax. It’s magical!

What is the best part about Newtown? The best part about Newtown is the community. I love living in a place where I see familiar faces wherever I go. Also, it’s evolved so much since I was a kid. There’s so much to do now!

What organizations are you part of in Newtown? My husband is now the director of operations for NewArts, which is a nonprofit that I’ve had a lot of interest in since I moved back to the area. My background (and BFA) is in musical theatre, and this program not only allows local youth opportunities to perform, but it encourages them to grow their confidence and leadership skills as well. I taught a Zoom program for them this summer and am hoping to help out with their future programs, too!

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My parents. I’m very lucky to still have them so close by. They have always been incredibly supportive of me both as a kid and as an adult.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? I’d spend the day with one of my best friends. Her name is Blythe and she lives in Sacramento. I haven’t seen her in five years and we’ve never met each other’s daughters.

Who is your favorite musical artist? Billy Joel. Hands down.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? “You pile up enough tomorrows, and you’ll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays.” — Meredith Wilson. From a young age, The Music Man was one of my favorite Broadway musicals (and favorite movies, too). Harold Hill says this and it’s always stuck with me.

What is something you cannot live without? Music. I’ve been a singer and dancer for most of my life. My husband is a musician and my kids love to sing, dance, and play instruments. I can’t imagine a world without music!

What is your proudest accomplishment? My kids. From the moment they were born, I’ve never been more proud of anything.
