Andrea Appelbaum, owner of Queen Street Gifts, 3 Queen Street, handed out American flags to customers on September 11, in remembrance of the tragic events the nation endured 18 years ago.

Ms Appelbaum wanted to do her part to show her patriotism and to honor the lives of those who died and were affected as a result of September 11, 2001.

In addition to giving out American flags, she also was selling local Newtown artist Jim Chillington’s print of the 9/11 memorial in Dodgingtown that depicts an American flag painted on tree trunks.

Those interested in the patriotic print can call Queen Street Gifts at 203-304-9755.
