Newtown Artist Among Rowayton Arts Center Winners

ROWAYTON — “Marine & Coastal Art” is on view at Rowayton Arts Center (RAC), 145 Rowayton Avenue in the Rowayton sectiono f Norwalk, until October 5. The all-media exhibition features artwork by more than 90 exhibiting members with a marine and coastal theme.

Among the winners announced at the opening on September 8 was Newtown artist Lisa Berger, whose photograph "Hi and Dri" received second place in the exhibition's Photography division.

RAC gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5 pm; and Saturday, 11 am to 2 pm.

RAC celebrates the study, creation, and appreciation of the arts through classes, exhibitions, and events open to all in the community. For almost 60 years, the nonprofit organization has been a cultural gem in Rowayton. The gallery and art school overlook the scenic Five Mile River at 145 Rowayton Avenue with space for regional artists to exhibit their art and a classroom for workshops and classes at all levels offered to children and adults.
