“Loving mother and grandmother”

Mrs Mary A. “Mae” (House) Dickerson, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 24, surrounded by her loving family. Mae was the widow of Chileon “Chick” Dickerson.

Mae was born in Norwalk on June 14, 1931, daughter of the late Harry and Edith (Banks) House. Mae enjoyed the outdoors, especially her flower gardens and birds. She was a warm and welcoming person who enjoyed visits from family and friends. In addition, she loved doing arts and crafts, and baking at the holiday season.

Mae leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Lisa Fasino, and her husband, Michael, of Middlebury; her son, Chileon “Lee” Dickerson III, and his companion, Robin, both of South Carolina; a granddaughter, Eliza-Beth Dickerson, of Naugatuck; two brothers-in-law, Alfred Ceccarelli and his wife, Jessie, both of Newtown, and Robert Dickerson and his wife, Yolanda, both of Fort Meyers, Florida; her sister-in-law Margo House, of Florida; several nieces and nephews; as well as many great-nieces and -nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her brother, Milton House; her two sisters, Shirley Johnson and Joan Chamberlin; her sister-in-law, Eleanor Dickerson; and her brothers-in-law, Duane Dickerson, Everett Johnson, and Ted Chamberlin.

A graveside service for the burial of Mae’s cremains will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 3, at Hull Cemetery, Redding Road, Redding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mae’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Boulevard., Southington CT 06489.
