Cherished Wife And Mother
Clarice F. McKay, 87, beloved wife of Curtis W. McKay of Newtown, died September 24, in Danbury Hospital. She was born in Roses Point, N.Y., August 6, 1923, a daughter of Alexina (Bois) and Joseph O. Soucy.
Mrs McKay was a resident of Newtown for 57 years, a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church, and a member of Newtown Womanâs Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, and reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Curtis W. McKay, Jr, of Sherman; a daughter, Karen Randolph of New Milford; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled in St Rose of Lima Church, Friday, October 1, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery. Calling hours were scheduled at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street in Newtown, on Thursday, September 30, from 4 to 7 pm.
