Annual Yankee Fair And Barn Sale In Brookfield

BROOKFIELD — The Congregational Church of Brookfield will hold its annual Yankee Fair and Barn Sale on Saturday, October 21, from 9 am to 3 pm. The barn sales will open at 8 am.

In celebration of this year’s theme “I Love To Tell The Story,” special storytelling will be offered throughout the day. In addition, the theme will be featured in the various shops and activities: Yankee gifts, quilts, garden, Vermont cheese, bakery, coffee, used toys and books, and children’s games.

Breakfast and lunch will be served at the grill. A sit-down luncheon will be served in the “White Steeple Inn.”

The red barn and large tents will contain assorted treasures and collectible items.

Fifty percent of the proceeds will be distributed directly to Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury, Literacy Volunteers on the Green (New Milford) and the Heifer International HIV/AIDS Endowment.

The church is at the junction of Routes 133 and 25 in historic Brookfield Center.
