Paige Maria Kousidis, of Sandy Hook, beloved wife of Ari Kousidis, received her guardian angel wings with her family by her side on Friday, October 2. She packed as much living into her short life as was possible. This girl knew how to live.

She was born Paige Maria Rizzi to Diana and Jim Rizzi, of Westport. Paige was the youngest of four children. She graduated from Staples High School and got her bachelor’s degree in business from Pace University. Along the way, she met some friends that would remain close to her forever.

Her career path led her to many different professions where, in true Paige fashion, she made many, many friends. There is hardly anyone that she met that wasn’t instantly touched by her smile, kindness, and genuine love for life. That love for life is what attracted her husband to her.

They went on to have two beautiful children, whom Paige loved more than anything else in this world.

Paige loved the beach, especially the sunrises and sunsets. She also loved spending time with her family and her dog. She will be sorely missed.

Calling hours will be Friday, October 9, from 5 to 8 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.

A Mass will be celebrated at Lourdes Shrine on Saturday, October 10, at 11 am. The address is 83 Montfort Road, Litchfield, Conn.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made anonymously to pancan.org.

Paige was my cousin but also my sister and dear friend. She touched too many lives to count or mention but she loved and was loved by people far and wide. Her legacy and spirit will live on through her loving husband, Ari and her children Yanni and Angella who were Paige’s pride and joy. Witnessing the love and care they felt and offered toward Paige in sickness and in health represented the true meaning of a loving family and her love, beauty and essence will continue to shine on others for as long as they and all who knew Paige live on.
