To the Editor:

I’m writing to express my strong support for Rebekah Harriman-Stites as Newtown’s next state representative.

To quote CT Attorney General William Tong’s endorsement, Rebekah is a “force of nature.” I’ve known Rebekah for more than a decade as a personal friend and fellow parent. A.G. Tong is absolutely right: Newtown will be stronger with Rebekah’s voice in Hartford, from standing up to Eversource, to strengthening our schools, to giving small businesses a fighting chance in today’s challenging business climate.

What’s more, Rebekah will advocate for strong gun violence prevention measures to keep families safe, continuing CT’s strong gun safety leadership.

Perhaps Rebekah’s greatest strength, in addition to her powerful voice, is how she listens. She leans in and brings her whole self to every conversation. It’s what makes her such a good friend, and it’s why she’ll be an exceptional state representative. Rebekah will listen to all her constituents, especially those with different points of view. She’ll listen and be a voice for all of us.

On November 3rd, please vote for Rebekah Harriman-Stites for State Representative for Newtown.
