To the Editor:

Absentee alert — I would like to help you ensure that your ballot is accepted.

1. When you open your envelope you will have a ballot, an inner envelope, and a return envelope. You will also have instructions on how to vote and information on the question on the ballot.

2. Please check the district on top right of your ballot and compare it to the district on the return envelope label with your name and address. The district on your label needs to be one of the districts listed on the top right of the ballot.

3. Please fill in the oval of the candidates you wish to vote for. Do not use red ink.

4. Place the finished ballot into the inner envelope, seal and sign, date the envelope.

5. Place the inner envelope into the return envelope and seal.

6. You can mail the ballot, place the ballot in the ballot box at the Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, or drop it off in the Town Clerk’s office at 3 Primrose Street.

You have the option of voting in person at the polling place until you cast that ballot.
