FILING DEADLINEPursuant to Section 12-40 of theConnecticut General Statutes, notiice is hereby given that allpersons conducting business in the Town of Newtown must file withthe Assessor's Office a complete and accurate listing of all taxablepersonal used in the conduct of that business.Such filing is to take place onor before Monday, November 2, 2020. Persons failing to file by thatdate are subject to a 25% penalty added to their assessment. Anextension of 45 days may be granted for good cause upon request.Taxable property shall include(but is not limited to); unregistered motor vehicles, out of stateregistered motor vehicles, industrial machinery/equipment,commercial furniture/fixtures/equipment, data processing equipment,farm machinery/equipment, leased equipment, etc.If you require forms or needassistance in filing your report, please contact the AssessorsOffice at 203-270-4240.
