Health District COVID Vaccination Clinic, Thursday

The Newtown Health District will host a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic this week.

The just-announced event is scheduled for Thursday, October 13. It will be conducted in the Council Chamber of Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, from 11:30 am to 3 pm.

Vaccinations are free, but the clinic is by appointment only.

This clinic is primarily to provide the new Moderna bivalent COVID-19 booster shot. It is available for anyone who has received their second COVID-19 vaccine shot or booster at least two months ago.

The clinic is also are offering first or second dose vaccines for anyone who has not yet received one.

Please bring your vaccine card and an ID with you to the appointment. You will need to be monitored for at least 15 minutes after your vaccine.

Walk-In Clinic Wednesday

The CT Department of Health and Griffin Hospital is presenting its next walk-in clinic today/Wednesday, October 12, 4:30-8:30 pm, at Newtown High School, 12 Berkshire Road.

Appointments are not needed for this clinic.

The clinic is for all vaccine formulations, and is for ages 6 months and over.

Those receiving second or booster shots should have their vaccine cards with them, for updating.
