Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue, in conjunction with Nick’s Chilled & Distilled, will introduce its newest fundraiser this month.

The Sandy Hook Craft Beer Festival will be presented Saturday, October 19, at the fire company’s main station, 18-20 Riverside Road.

VIP entry will open at noon and will grant ticket-holders an additional hour of beer tastings, a commemorative glass, and a special gift. Those tickets are $55 each in advance or $60 at the door. No more than 500 VIP tickets will be sold.

Regular entry will then run from 1 to 5 pm, and those tickets are $45 in advance, $50 at the door. For those who want to be designated drivers, admission is $15.

Advance tickets can be purchased at tickets.beerfests.com.

Tickets provide unlimited beer tastings. At least 45 breweries have committed to the event.

This is an age 21-and-over event. ID will be required for entry, and there is no reentry. The festival will run rain or shine.

Food will be provided by at least six food trucks; those purchases are not covered by the ticket cost. Additional vendors will also be available with food, candy, spirits, and other shopping fun.

In addition, there will be outdoor lawn games, including cornhole, giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, and others.

Free onsite parking will be available. 50 Uber and 50 Lyft $3 credits are available for Sandy Hook Craft Beer Festival attendees; use coupon code SHCBF2019 when scheduling a ride.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue, a 501(c)(3) organization.
