To the Editor:

I am pleased to write in support of Jordana Bloom for reelection to Newtown’s Legislative Council for District 2. During her first term, Jordana has proved to be a tireless advocate for our community, having focused on such critical sustainability issues as the board of education budget, plastic and paper bag ordinances, and other topics of importance to our community. She has served brilliantly on both the Education and Ordinance committees of the LC.

Jordana comes to her role with a long-term perspective that sees what Newtown needs today and how it needs to adapt going forward. She is an active and independent voice that builds trust and credibility into our government. These might be the most important qualities needed in our elected officials, and Jordana is a role model in these areas.

I urge everyone to vote in this election on November 5, and when you do, vote for Jordana Bloom!
