National Recycling Day At The Zoo

BRIDGEPORT — The Beardsley Zoo will observe its 2nd annual celebration of National Recycling Day on Sunday, November 14 from noon to 3 pm.

Activities will include craft-making from non-recyclables, a recycle relay race, a worm composting workshop, and a watershed pollution demonstration. 200 visitors can also learn some fun facts about trash, and support recycling in their community.

National Recycling Day is free with regular paid zoo admission of $6 per adult, $4 per child ages 3 to 11, and free for children under 3. For more information call the Beardsley Zoo Information Line at 203/394-6565. The zoo is at 1875 Nobel Avenue; signs are posted from the Route 25 connector.
