Readers can expect brief delays and temporary closures on Sunday and Monday, when the wake and funeral for Botsford Fire Rescue First Assistant Chief Pete Blomberg take place.

Calling hours are Sunday, November 3, 2-6 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street.

His funeral Mass is Monday, November 4. It will begin at 10:30 am at St Rose Church, 46 Church Hill Road. Brief closures are planned as Chief Blomberg’s family moves from the funeral home to the church before the Mass. Traffic will then be stopped after the funeral, between the church and St Rose Cemetery. That will briefly impact Church Hill Road, Riverside Road, and Cherry Street.

Any media planning to cover the funeral should report to the parking lot of Holy Cow Ice Cream, 51 Church Hill Road.
