Three Charged With Burglary, Vandalism

Following an October 26 incident in Sandy Hook Center, police arrested three males on burglary, vandalism, and other charges.

Police said they received a report of a burglary in progress at a Washington Avenue residence, near Interstate 84, on the night of October 26. Police said they learned that the people involved in the incident left the scene and were heading toward the town center in a white Pontiac Firebird; they located the Pontiac with three males in it at Newtown Shopping Village at 6 Queen Street in the borough.

After investigating, police charged the driver of Pontiac, Richard Pulver, 21, of Shelton with second degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief, driving with a suspended license, and possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle. Police said Pulver had a butterfly knife in the auto.

Police arrested Andrew Bolmer, 18, of 31 Swamp Road on charges of second degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief, possession of alcohol by a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested an unidentified male youth under age 18 on charges of second degree burglary and third degree criminal mischief. Police said the youth was illegally in possession of alcohol. State law conceals the identities of those under age 18 who are charged with crimes.

The trio damaged multiple windows and belongings during the Washington Ave burglary, according to police. Burglary is a felony. After arrest processing, police released Pulver on $5,000 bail and Bolmer on $1,000 bail for arraignments on Nov 14 in Danbury Superior Court. The youthful offender was released on $1,000 bail for a November 17 arraignment in Danbury Youthful Offender Court.
