To the Editor:

Tim Gavin has earned my vote.

He is a veteran. He signed that blank check and served our country — this is a big commitment.

He has a tech background. He has been working to codify safeguards on the internet. He built an automated system to report child grooming and solicitation detected on social media. He is working on ways to protect our seniors from being targeted through social media on phishing scams.

He shows up most Wednesdays to help me serve lunch to our seniors. He has given up an hour and a half of door knocking time each Wednesday. He comes in and heads right to the sink to start washing up prep dishes. He helps prepping plates or delivering meals wherever he is needed. He has done this without giving any speeches or using the seniors in photo ops. He has done this because it is something that needs to be done.

He is about serving the community; he will roll up his sleeves and do the work. He has proven that to me.
