Charles Rudolph

Charles Rudolph, 88, of Newtown, formerly of Easton, died November 1 in Lockwood at Ashlar, Newtown.

Mr Rudolph was born in Fairlawn, N.J., and was an Easton resident for many years. He was a retired employee for the Bridgeport Machine Company. He was a member of the Easton Volunteer Fire Department for more than 50 years, and was a longtime and very active member of the Jesse Lee United Methodist Church, Easton. Mr. Rudolph was the first member of the Ashlar-Aspetuck Lodge 142 AF&AM, where he was currently serving as Tyler. He was the widower of Florence (Zabriskie) Rudolph.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Gilly and her husband Terrance of Wyckoff, N.J.; two granddaughters, Jennifer Stafford of Hewitt, N.J., and Julianne Gilly of Mahwah, N.J.; three great-grandchildren, W. Steven Stafford, Samantha Stafford and Kaitlynn Spagnolo; and a brother, William Rudolph of Rigby, Idaho.

A funeral service was held on November 4  in the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport, with the Rev Dr Donald Kirkham, pastor of Jesse Lee United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial took place in New Jersey.
