Emma Fadis

Emma Fadis, 90, the widow of John Fadis, Sr, died November 2 at Bridgeport Hospital.

She was the aunt of Rosemarie Abric of Newtown.

Born in Dovolava, Czechoslovakia, to the late Michael and Mildred (Bendik) Svihra, she had been a lifelong area resident. Mrs Fadis was a retired assembler in the wiring department of Harvey Hubbell for more than 40 years and was a member of the Baldwin Senior Citizens, Stratford.

She was predeceased by her husband and her son, John Fadis, Jr.

Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Bums of Fairfield, and Helen Rooney and her husband Charles of York, S.C.; two other nieces, Patricia Piroh of Milford and Carol Sequin of Beacon Falls; a nephew, Bruce Danz of Denville, N.J.; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and eight great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; two loving caregivers, Lena Thurston and Phyliss Daley; and her cat, Mama Kitty.

Funeral services took place on November 6 in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, with the Rev John Chalupa officiating. Interment was in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
