To the Editor:

I wanted to take a moment and offer my sincere congratulations to those that were victorious in Newtown’s local election for Legislative Council D1 on November 5th, 2019. Cathy Reiss, along with Paul Lundquist, Chris Eide, and Judit DeStefano, bravo and kudos on a job well done!

It was a wonderful and amazing experience for me and my family to get to know some of the truly outstanding residents of this very special town. The entire local Republican Party headed by Dennis Bloom and his wife, Barbara, one could not of ask for a more caring and supportive group of individuals. Ryan Knapp, Mitch Bolinsky, Jeff Capeci, Andy and Michele Buzzi, Carrie Schierloh, Bill Brimmer, Armel Kouassi, Dan Wiedemann, Phil Carroll to name but a few — I cannot thank you enough for all your guidance, wisdom, and support.

My wonderful neighbors in the Taunton Hill area and District 1, as well as all the constituents of Newtown who voted and supported my candidacy... an enormous thank you. Although I may not have earned the honor to govern in Newtown, I feel I have gained many good friends and have been enriched by the entire experience. Once again, on behalf of myself and family, a huge congratulations to all those that won today, and a special thank you to all the candidates who ran for office for their hard work and contributions on behalf of our little town with a flagpole in the middle!
