Medicine Wheel Garden Classes

At YMCA

NEW FAIRFIELD —The public is invited to a special series of classes at Great Hollow Wilderness School’s new Medicine Wheel Garden and Classroom. All classes are being offered at no cost thanks to funding provided by Northeast Utilities Community Grant Program.

Participants will explore the wide world of plants and healing guided by herbalist, author, and ethnobotanist E. Barrie Kavasch of The Medicine Wheel Garden and Wellness Center in Bridgewater.

Participants should be prepared for indoor and outdoor activities.

The next class, “Gifts from the Garden,” will be on Saturday, December 3, from 10 am to noon. Attendees will learn to create healing gifts using herbs and essences from the garden and kitchen.

Participants must bring three small, clean glass jars with tight-fitting lids, plus a notebook and pen.

Great Hollow is at 225 Route 37. Class size is limited. For more information or to register call 746-5852.
