To the Editor:

I would like to thank the generous residents of Newtown and local towns for coming out to support the volunteer firefighters of Newtown in their effort to fill the FAITH food pantry shelves on Saturday, November 20th. We are proud to say we donated over $2000 in cash and gift cards, 132 boxes of food and 66 turkeys in our 5 hour collection in front of Big Y and Sand Hill Plaza.

I would also like to thank the locations for allowing us to set up collection sites and to Curtis Packaging for the donation of boxes which allowed us to collect the goods.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year on Saturday, November 19th, for our 20th annual food drive. Happy Holidays!
