Devoted Mother

And Grandmother

Anne L. (Franson) Miller, 88, died November 27, at The Lutheran Home of Southbury, with her immediate family by her side. She was born February 12, 1921, in Norwalk, the daughter of Hannah and Charles Franson.

She leaves her daughter Donna Marschalk of Newtown; a son, Donald, and his wife, Patricia, of Vermont; a grandson Donald and his wife, Jennifer; a granddaughter Kate and her husband, Christopher; and two wonderful great-grandsons. A brother, Herbert Franson, predeceased her.

Mrs Miller lived in Woodbury for the last 18 years, moving from Redding where she had lived since 1956. She worked for many years as a doctor’s assistant in Redding.

She enjoyed reading biographies, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, painting watercolors, and golfing. The modified stock car #11, out of Wells, Vt., was a source of special pride to her. She took pride in the accomplishments of her family and friends. She especially loved to make people happy and had a smile and kind word for everyone she met. Her sense of humor and generosity brightened many people’s lives.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North, Southbury, December 11, at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Lutheran Home, 990 Main Street North, Southbury CT 06488.
