Fraser-Woods Art Exhibit To Benefit Kevin’s Community Center

Area artists from Newtown, Southbury, Trumbull, Litchfield, and New Rochelle are teaming together to raise funds for Kevin’s Community Center, a free medical clinic in Newtown serving the uninsured and underinsured over 18, by participating in an upcoming art show, “From The Inside Out,” at Fraser-Woods School, 115 South Main Street.

The artwork ranges in style, medium, and theme. An invitation-only reception is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, with a wine tasting donated from a local shop, and  door prize drawing of a collaborative original work by all nine participating artists.

The public will be welcomed at a reception on Sunday, December 6, from 11 am until 2 pm, with a talk on “Art of Experience” at 1 pm by curator, art therapist and teacher Christine Mitchell. There will be weekend artist walk and talks and daily gallery hours for the public also. Participating artists are Katie Bassett-Valente, Christine Mitchell, Henry Mitchell, Joan Pollak, David Wrabel, Adam Kaplan, Bob Perucci, Christine Milo, and Evan Valente. The show runs from December 5 through 30. For more information contact Christine Mitchell at 203-709-0682 or chrismitchell40@sbcglobal.net.
