FITZWILLIAM and RICHMOND, N.H. — Start the New Year off by enjoying one of New England’s favorite pastimes — antiquing at eight of Fitzwilliam and Richmond’s antiques shops, which are restocking with fresh merchandise in preparation of the 17th Annual Holiday Open Houses on Saturday and Sunday, December 29–30. A variety of refreshments will be served at each shop and many will offer special discounts during this Holiday Open House, which runs from 10 am to 5 pm.

Guests will find primitives, Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century New England and American country and formal furniture in original surfaces or refinished, English ceramics, architectural items, china, mocha, folk art, stoneware, redware, paintings, clocks, textiles, tools, woodenware and a selection of decorative accessories for any decor.

Fitzwilliam antiques shops participating in this cooperative venture are Bloomin’ Antiques, Clocks on the Common and Macreay Landy Antiques, all on the Common; Brian Luddy Antiques, 24 Richmond Road; Fitzwilliam Antiques, Route 12 at Route 119 junction; Dennis & Dad Antiques, 33 Route 119, East of Route 12; and in Richmond, Olde & Early Antiques, Route 119W, 122 Fitzwilliam Road.
