Winter Softball Sessions Offered For Girls Ages 8-14

Girls ages 8-14 are invited to sign up for the second annual Winter Training Program provided by Newtown High School softball team Head Coach Bob Guerrera, his assistant coaches and players. This program is designed to provide the basic skills training necessary for participating in the sport of fast pitch softball. The fee for the program is $100 per player.

Training sessions will begin Sunday, February 8 and continue for five consecutive weekends through Sunday, March 8 (6-7:30 pm).

Training will take place at the Danbury PAL Building. Directions to the facility are from I-84 Westbound: Take exit 6 toward Route 37/New Fairfield; at bottom of ramp, turn right onto North St./Route 37, at first light, turn right onto Hayestown Ave., go 2/10 mile, turn left onto Tamarack Ave. (Tamarack Ave. becomes E. Hayestown Rd.), go 8/10 mile to Danbury PAL on right located at 35 Hayestown Road.

Players will be divided by age and or ability during the sessions. If necessary, an additional group session will be scheduled depending on enrollment numbers.
