Boys’ 5th Grade Travel

WESTON 43, NEWTOWN 33: Despite falling into a hole in the first quarter, Newtown battled back and held a halftime lead thanks to the backcourt play of Joey DeVellis and Jack Quinn. However, Weston proved to be too tough. DeVellis led the way with nine points while Ryan McGrath added six.

NEWTOWN 51, FAIRFIELD 20: Michael Klein scored 12 points while Michael Tibbetts, Aron Fay and Michael Kennedy added six points each to lead Newtown. Tucker Kass was the defensive star while Kevin Regan was strong off the boards.

Boys’ 6th Grade Travel

NEWTOWN 41, BETHEL 23: Drew Adamek scored 11 points and Marc Ingerman added 10 to lead Newtown past Bethel. Josh Tenenbaum and Drew Harmata chipped in with eight points apiece. Alex Caruso led the defense while Ingerman yanked down 12 rebounds.

NEWTOWN 53, REDDING 8: Marc Ingerman scored 10 points and Stephen Neylon added 10 as Newtown cruised past Redding. Drew Adamek and Josh Tenenbaum each had eight points. Chris Giorno and Jack Capito led the defense as Tommy Wilson recorded five assists.

Boys’ 8th Grade Travel

NEWTOWN 91, SOUTHBURY 24: Five players scored in double figures as Newtown eased past Southbury. Andrew Fiscella canned 18 points while Ben Bagaglio and Ronnie Shimko chipped in with 12 apiece. Devon Manfredonia added 11 and Troy Simek contributed 10.

REDDING 79, NEWTOWN 70: Andrew Fiscella pumped in 25 points and stole five balls, but Newtown fell short against Newtown. Matt McFadden added 12 points while Dave Anderson and Ross Coates chipped in with eight points apiece. John Oliver had 11 boards while Troy Simek had three steals.
