Rose R. Iversen

Rose R. Iversen, 80, a long-time resident of Greenwich, died on December 4, due to natural causes. She was the wife of the late Norman H. Iversen.

She was the mother of Nancy Saggese of Newtown.

She was born in Portchester, N.Y., on July 16, 1919, a daughter of the late Ignatz and Mary (Vrona) Ramanyik.

Mrs Iversen retired as a secretary in the accounting department of the US Tobacco Company after 10 years of service. She was dedicated to many church and community organizations throughout her life.

She is also survived by a son, Ronald Iversen of Thousand Oaks, Calif; three other daughters, Linda Childress of Vernon, Carol Shilling of Lawrence, Kan., and Judith Albert of Woodbury; a sister, Lorretta Wissman of Melbourne, Fla; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated December 6 at St Paul Roman Catholic Church, 84 Sherwood Avenue, Greenwich. Burial was private.

The Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions can be made to Neighbor to Neighbor, 248 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT. The family asks that a random act of kindness be performed in Rose’s memory.
