CGMC Has A New Holiday Show Ready To Roll

The Connecticut Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) will continue its tradition of uproarious holiday celebrations when it presents “Hung by the Chimney” this December in three locations around the state.

“The recipe for the evening is four parts nice to six parts naughty,” said CGMC Music Director Winston Clark. “Our audience expects us to take them to the outrageous side.”

The show commences with some of the most lovely carols of the season in sparkling new arrangements. “After this beautiful tradition it’s a steady slide downhill,” said Mr Clark.

Concertgoers can look forward to an exciting and unusual version of the “Hallelujah Chorus” presented by the Sisters of the Unwarranted Assumption, as well as the world premiere of “Reindeer Got Run Over by My Grandma.”

The beloved song “White Christmas” will be put to uses for which it was never intended, and a lonely and romance-challenged Mrs Claus stops by to solicit, er... sympathy.

“If you like your holiday season one step beyond merry, then ‘Hung by the Chimney’ is the show for you,” said Mr Clark.

“Hung by the Chimney” will be performed on Sunday, December 9, at 4 pm, at WCSU’s White Hall, 181 White Street in Danbury; Saturday, December 15, at 8 pm, at the Shubert Theater in New Haven; and Sunday, December 16, at 7 pm, at The Bushnell in Hartford.

Tickets, at $30 and $35, can be reserved by calling the CGMC Box Office at 800-644-2462 or online at CTGMC.org.
