A Kind And Loving Woman

Theresa Oswald of Heritage Village, Southbury, died peacefully in her home on July 9, at the age of 89.

She is survived by her son Frederick, his wife Linda, and three grandchildren, Jennifer Zwiselsberger and her husband Douglas of Alexandria, Va., and great-grandson Gavin; Kenneth Oswald of Sandy Hook and Jessica Oswald of Alexandria, Va.; as well as her son John Oswald and his wife Lois of Lynn Haven, Fla. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest, who died on January 29, 2009, and her third son, Ernest, who died on August 20, 2008, in San Francisco.

Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, gardening, baking, and spending time with family. She was a kind and loving woman, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and was so thrilled to become a great-grandmother this past January. She will be sorely missed.

Friends were welcomed in the chapel of Sacred Heart Church in Southbury on July 10 for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial followed in Newtown Village Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
