*Shakespeare For Children: The Serendipity Players of Sabrinaâs Encore Productions will offer their unique interpretation of Midsummer Nightâs Dream, with an original score, on Sunday, February 10, at 2 pm, in the libraryâs meeting room.
The performance is recommended for ages 5 and up.
*Yoga Demo For Children â lions, tigers and bears, oh my! â¦and maybe some Cobras, Trees and Frogs too!
Kids and teens can be pretty stressed out and over-stimulated. Young people can benefit from yoga. While strengthening and stretching they can also develop concentration, focus and body awareness, and just feel good!
Karen Pierce, a Newtown resident, yoga instructor and the author of YogaBear: Yoga for Youngsters, is offering a demo class on Friday, February 22, at 10 am for kids ages 4-7. Copies of her book will be available for purchase on the day of the program. If youâve got kids who could benefit from a little time unplugged from technology and plugged in to themselves, then you wonât want to miss this!

*New YA Health database is online!
Teen Health & Wellness: Real Life, Real Answers, can be accessed directly from our webpage both at home and in the library; visit biblio.org/YAWebSpot and look for the link for Teen health & Wellness â New! under the photo in the center of the page.
This comprehensive database is set up for teens to research health-related issues important to their well-being. Itâs a user-friendly research and report tool as well as a self-help resource. The content is updated regularly and checked for accuracy. Young adults and those who care about them will find that this resource is something they can refer to often.
