24 Residents Among UConn Graduates
STORRS â More than 4,000 undergraduates celebrated commencement at the University of Connecticut on Sunday, May 11, including a number of Newtown and Sandy Hook residents.
The following Newtown residents graduated from the universityâs College of Liberal Arts and Sciences: Kaltrina Behluli, with a bachelor of arts in English and a minor in business; Lauren Elizabeth Blomberg, with a bachelor of science in biological sciences; Saurav Grey Chatterjee, with a bachelor of arts in psychology and a minor in anthropology; John Philip Espy, with a bachelor of arts in statistics; Joshua A. Feldman, with a bachelor of arts in mathematics/actuarial science; William James Fields, with a bachelor of arts in philosophy; Katherine Rosalie Jones Fuller, with a bachelor of arts in sociology; Vanessa Giusti, with a bachelor of arts in economics, a second major in Spanish, and a minor in Latino studies; Julie Lynne Iwanicki, with a bachelor of science in human development and family studies; Jaclyn Anne Morrissey, with a bachelor of arts in history and a second major in sociology; Bethany G. Ober, with a bachelor of arts in English and a second major in history; Casey Katherine Palmer, with a bachelor of arts in history; Sean Patrick Reilly, with a bachelor of arts in communication sciences; and Timothy Peter Telesco, with a bachelor of arts in psychology and a minor in anthropology.
Rebecca Liane Corrigan graduated from UConnâs Neag School of Education with a bachelor of science in elementary.
Also from Newtown, Christopher James Espy graduated from UConnâs School of Fine Arts with a bachelor of music in music and bachelor of fine arts/general program in music.
Graduating from the universityâs College of Liberal Arts and Sciences were the following Sandy Hook residents: Bradley Aaron Burnstein, with a bachelor of arts in sociology; Erica Jill Carino, with a bachelor of arts in history, and a second major in sociology; Kaitlyn Elizabeth Fenton, with a bachelor of arts in communication sciences and a minor in gerontology; and Stacey Michelle Gordon, with an individualized bachelor of arts degree, and a minor in communication.
Floren Lena Schertzer, with a bachelor of arts in urban and community studies, and a minor in criminal justice; Sarah Elizabeth Whalley, with a bachelor of arts in communication sciences;
Robert M. Milot, also of Sandy Hook, graduated from UConnâs School of Business with a bachelor of science in finance.
Sandy Hook resident Kathleen Mayer graduated from UConnâs School of Engineering with a bachelor of science in engineering (electrical engineering), with a minor in mathematics.
