Hayrides To Spot The Easter Bunny, April 22-23 At Fairfield Hills
Hayrides To Spot The Easter Bunny,
April 22â23 At Fairfield Hills
The inaugural Bunny Watch Hayride, a brand-new event, will be held at Fairfield Hills on Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23, from 11 am until 4 pm each day.
Children and parents are invited to take a hayride pulled by an antique tractor through over Fairfield Hills trails, while watching carefully for bunnies along the way. Children will receive a special Bunny Watch tally sheet to mark each sighting. Rides are $5 each, which also includes the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny and decorate an Easter egg.
Two tractors have been enlisted for the event, each pulling large hay wagons, so lines will be kept to a minimum.
The event is a fundraiser for Ruyi Roundup, an Odyssey of the Mind team at Newtown Middle School. Students on the team have been working for seven months to solve a set of problems, they have presented their solutions at the state Odyssey competition, and have qualified to advance to the world finals next month.
The Newtown team is one of three teams from Connecticut that will be heading to Maryland for the world finals. They will be competing against teams from 45 states and 40 countries in the largest intellectual competition in the world.
Team members will also be selling drinks and snacks for children and adults, with proceeds to also help defray the cost of their trip to Maryland.
Reservations are not needed for the Bunny Watch Hayrides but additional information is available from An n Ziluck, at 203-426-4001.
