*TREBLEHOOK will be featured at The Fireside Inn in Newtown on Friday, December 17. The music starts at 9 pm.

*ZZ TOP has a pair of shows planned for early 2000 in Connecticut. In addition to a show on January 21 at Hartford Civic Center, the band will also be at Mohegan Sun Casino’s Special Events Center (in Uncasville) on January 28. Tickets for the latter show are $35 and $45 apiece. The first show, on the other hand, is a double-bill with LYNYRD SKYNYRD.

*We will be publishing the paper on our regular schedule next week, but we won’t be here in the office on Friday. Wouldn’t want you to miss your reminder for the next SOL DOG show in the area, which is set for Thursday, December 23, at Classic Rock Brew Pub in Danbury. The band’s debut at the pub last month was a great success. There is a small cover to get in, but the music will be flowing for hours. Showtime is 10 or so.

OK, so that’s it for this week. A slow beat this week (slow, beat, music column… get it? It’s a pun!!!).

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you... on the road, working on my punchlines.
