Teikyo Post

Taps Peck

WATERBURY — Dr Robert Peck has been appointed interim president of Teikyo Post University, effective January 1. He will replace outgoing president Kenneth Lindner, who announced his departure last week.

Dr Peck has held senior administrative positions with several private liberal arts colleges.

For seven years he was president of Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, and was instrumental in creating a branch of that institution in Japan that ultimately enrolled 1,600 students at its peak. Since 1990, he has operated a consulting firm and established The President’s Foundation for Higher Education, a nonprofit organization which serves as a resource for independent college presidents and governing boards.

Dr Peck’s primary responsibilities will be to maintain and strengthen Teikyo Post’s recent initiatives in its accelerated degree program and to present proposals for beginning the search process for a permanent president.
