Women Involved in Newtown is getting ready for its annual Thanksgiving Outreach.

The local nonprofit annually partners with Human Services to help connect Newtown households in need with those who want to give during Thanksgiving time. Adopted households receive everything they need for a Thanksgiving dinner, plus additional everyday groceries, household needs, and pet supplies.

WIN has simplified the process so there is no direct contact between donor and recipient.

Those who would like to adopt a household are invited to e-mail womeninnewtown@gmail.com.

All items will be due to Newtown Community Center the morning of Saturday, November 21. That morning, all items will be collected for recipient individuals, couples, and families.

Financial donations help WIN fill in items that may fall short ahead of Thanksgiving. WIN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so donations are tax deductible and 100% go directly to those in need. Send an e-mail to the address above or visit the website above for the secure donation link.
